Interview with Monika Maple

First off, for those who might not know you, what is your name and please describe yourself?

My name is Monika Maple and I am from Toronto, Ontario. My measurements are 36C-29-36, I am 5’11 and 135lbs. I have blue eyes. My hair color changes frequently though it is usually some shade with some red in it, but I am a natural blonde. I will be turning 24 this year. I wear 10 piercing and have quite a few tattoos.

How did you first get into the adult industry?

I got into the industry almost as soon as I was legal age to do so. I knew it was something I wanted to do before I was old enough to do enter the industry. Before my start on this journey, I worked in a coffee pub as the manager. Proceeding that, I had jobs in the government of Ontario, working in a banquet hall, McDonalds and babysitting. Br far, this has been my most challenging, yet rewarding career choice.

What made you interested in entering the adult industry?

Mostly, the hot girls but also my misconceptions of the business. I entered for the reasons that do not really exist, but had my misconceptions been true, it probably would not have been able to stay in this field for long.

How long have you been in the industry?

I started part time in 2002 and have been doing it fulltime since 2005.

Who are the people in the industry that you are dying to work with?

Jesse Jane, though I would probably be so nervous they would have to hospitalize me. She is just so damn beautiful and classy. But in all seriousness, I don’t really have any companies that I am ‘dying’ to work with. When I see someone I want to work with, I just try and make it happen.

Who are your favorite people to work with?

All my favorite people are unknowns to the porn fans, mainly because they are low key and they are Canadian. My favorite girls are Katrina B, Jasmine Jade and Caren Caan. My favorite companies are AmateurCanada, BlackBachelor/BlackJizzler and OSK Productions. My favorite rigger is LordMorpheus. So basically, all my friends, not necessarily the biggest, best or highest paying.

When did you lose your virginity?

When I was 16 to a good friend at the time.

How would you like to see your careers progress in the future?

I don’t have big dreams of becoming famous or rich, but I would love to continue making my living off it. If I could buy a nice house, then I am happy. I do have plans for quite a few things this year, but every year I make bigger plans than the last, so big things keep happening. The moment I have to drag myself out of bed with dread, is the moment I will leave the business.

Do your friends and family know that you are in the industry and do they support your decision?

Everyone around me know what I do. Some are more supportive than others, but none are downright against it. I think my attitude towards my work makes it impossible to see it as something it is not. I clear up many misconceptions when they arise and am very comfortable with the path I have chosen. While this may not be some of their first, second or third choices for my chosen career, they are supportive nonetheless.

What sort of things were you interested in when you were younger?

Boys, shopping, animals, books, friends, sports. All the regular things.

What personality trait or traits would your friends say best described you as a young girl? Also please explain your answer.

Pre high school, probably smart, popular, athletic and easy-going. During high school, probably unapplied smarts, a slacker, slutty, a leader and a druggy.

Pre high school, I was the girl almost everyone wanted to be or be friends with. During high school, my father went through his second divorce and the only family I really knew was torn apart. I wasn’t exactly the same person for three years and my school life suffered because of it. My closest friends were by my side and we still had a great time though.

Can you share a silly, stupid, funny or embarrassing story that happened that you can share with our fans?

I do something stupid or embarrassing almost everyday, so my radar on those things does not really exist. I can remember a particularly embarrassing moment in my early childhood though, probably grade 2.

I was in a convenience store with my friend and her father and I really needed to go to the washroom. There was no washroom, so I was told to hold it but the guy at the cash seemed to be taking forever to ring through the items. Finally, I just couldn’t hold it anymore, so I just squatted down and peed on the carpet, thinking no one would notice. Well, I was almost in the clear, out the door and near the car, when the stupid guy came running out and shouted that I peed on the carpet. I was mortified and I had to sit on a plastic bag in the car on the way home. Very traumatic at the time.
