Hardware & Sex with Raven Alexis: Mac vs. PC

So I’ve been running Mac and PC congruently for quite some time now, and I’ve found myself always leaning towards the simplicity and user-friendliness of the Mac platform, especially when it comes to editing that smut for all of you loyal fans out there.

Now it seems the tech gods deem it fit to go and mess up my little comfort zone with the release of the 980 X proc, which ever so conviently fits my 1366 p6t. Upgradable to 24 gigs of ram, and running a solid state raid 0 config at SATA III (or for you picky tech smut lovers, SATA 6 Gb/s, and yes of course I have a raid controller), I find myself at a crossroads. A dilemma which I am losing sleep over. Will I actually have to part ways with Final Cut Pro for the Adobe suite? And then what, CS4 or CS5?

Most porn actresses have to worry about what color to pick at the nail salon, meanwhile I sit here staring at my Passmark stats. Plus, I am now desperately fretting why Windows 7 is telling me that I am sitting at 7.8 out of 7.9 on my highly esteemed processor. Now I will spend the next three hours trying to shop for a new motherboard, just to achieve that ultimate in tech fantasy, the glorious 7.9.

Has it come to this? I’m literally sacrificing hours of my day thinking about the most inconsequential tech specs, when I could be reading Freud, studying the effects of the thinning of the Ozone layer, or a real shock, I could be having sex!!!

I heard someone mention the other day that although the benefits of technology are substantial, maybe we’ve gone too far? Should I really sacrifice the perfect orgasm for a benchmark rating of 7.9 over a perfectly awesome 7.8? And who the hell set that damn benchmark anyway? ARGH! Screw it, the quicker I finish this damn editing and get this new video on the site, the quicker I can get to playing some WoW. So after spending 10 hours and three sleepless nights pitting my Mac against my PC, I trudge across the room to my faithful Mac, which I know so well. Tomorrow I’ll wage the war again. Seriously though, where is someone to fuck when I need them? Guess I’ll have to pull up my own movie on the iPad and get off that way.
