Interview with Ariella Ferrera

Hello Ariella, those who might not know you, what is your name and please describe yourself?

Hola my name is Ariella Ferrera! I was born in Colombia and raised in Illinois, so I consider myself to be mid-west chick with a Colombian cultural influence.

What prompted you to join the adult industry?

I was bored with my profession and looking for a change. I swore that before I turned 30 I’d find something that would be more fulfilling and then walked in my patient who happened to be a pornstar. After, a couple of dates, I decided I had found a new profession and moved out to California to pursue it full time. I’ve been in the industry now for one year and loving it.

Seeing that you are considered a MILF in the business, what do you think of the term MILF and its use in the industry?

I understand the purpose for which this term is used. MILF has certain implications which allow those that are selecting a movie or website to have somewhat of an idea of what to expect. These expectations will include a female who is at least in their mid to late 20’s and up, voluptuously figured, well-experienced sexually and is a mom.

Now, having stated the above, I’ll throw a wrench in the whole concept by playing “devil’s advocate” and say what about a 15 year old who loses her virginity, gets pregnant and becomes a mom from that first experience. What category would she be placed in? The term in the manner that it’s used in the adult industry is somewhat misleading.

What would you say is your favorite scene you have done?

I honestly, can’t pick one. It is like asking someone to pick their favorite child. I feel that every scene that I have done so far I’ve walked away with a smile and a memory of an orgasm or two or three  or, well you get my point.

Do you have a particular performer that you wish to emulate as far as their career? If so who is it?

My initial response is that there is no “one” individual that I wish emulate in the adult industry. I would like to be able to reach a “level” of success, which many have done. As I look at a picture of Ron Jeremy on my desktop it hits me. He is a true pornstar who has achieved a level a success and is still performing. Ron, I feel doesn’t get enough respect and acknowledgement sometimes, even though he was the first real pornstar to cross over into mainstream and has the longest running career to this day in the adult industry. I asked him recently, if he’d do it all over again knowing all that he knows now and without a slight hesitation he said “Absolutely!”

I loved it! I thought to myself I don’t know many. Actually anyone who is in their late 50’s if not 60 yet, who is still actively doing something they truly enjoy with no regrets and making a living out of it. That is the career I would like to emulate.

Seeing that you have been around for a little while, who would you say is your favorite person to work with and why?

Once again, this would be like asking me to pick my favorite child, if I had any. I will say this. I find it incredibly sexy when the person I’m performing with is confident.

Do you have a desire to someday direct movies as well?

I would love to direct movies someday as a matter of fact that is one of my future goals and one that I’m currently working on. I realize it’s different than producing movies but I’ve launched three sites and shooting for them has given me a taste of what I could potentially contribute to the adult movies…

Who are the people that you really want to work with while you are doing movies?

I just want to work with people who genuinely enjoy being sexual exhibitionists and can remember at the end of the day to have fun!

What advice would you give someone that is thinking about joining the adult industry?

I would say go for it and beware of the “casting couch”!

How would people back home describe you when you were growing up?

Nice, courteous, sarcastically funny, a bit eccentric, top heavy and possibly the world’s greatest role-model for this generations’ future as the next first female president.

What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working? Any hobbies?

I love to do physically challenging activities outdoors like biking, swimming, running, camping and hiking. When indoors I strength train, whether it be with weights or practicing some form of mixed martial arts. I also enjoy reading, cooking, watching and or making movies for my site. My hobbies are always changing as I get bored easily and always enjoy new challenges… I have my eyes set on taking on wakeboarding and target shooting next.
