Interview with Sunny Leone

Hello Sunny, for those who might not know you, what is your name and please describe yourself?

Sunny Leone. Fun and hardworking.

What prompted you to join the adult industry?

I was introduced to an agent and he submitted my pictures to Penthouse Magazine.

You were signed by Vivid pretty much from the beginning. Were you seeking a contract from the get go or was it more of a pleasant surprise?

I signed with Vivid when I was five years into my career already. I was seeking a girl/girl contract from the get go. I wasn’t sure if it would be possible but when I met Steven Hirsh, he liked me and wanted to sign me that day.

You have also recently launched your own production company, SunLust Pictures. What made you decide to start your own company?

Everyone around me kept telling me I should launch my own production company but it didn’t all come together until I met my partner Daniel (co-owner of SunLust Pictures). He is the reason that I have been able to further my name and take my company to another level.

What kind of movies can your fans expect to see from SunLust?

I have a few out and one more that is being released this month. Currently there is The Pussy Eating Club, Sunny Loves HD Porn and Hot Anal Adventures. My new movie that will be released is called All Sunny, All the Time and my large feature for the year is called Gia-A Portrait of a Pornstar.

You recently won your first AVN award this past January for the all-girl scene in Deviance. What was the feeling of winning your first AVN?

I actually won two. One for the movie and my favorite, Web Starlet of the Year. It was amazing to be honored by AVN and I am so thankful. I was in shock for the first few hours that night.

You were also in Pirate’s Blood which was a Bollywood movie in 2008. What was the experience like working on that movie and how did you end up being cast?

It was so much fun to work in another country. They contacted me about the role.

What kind of advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining the industry?

If you treat it as a business, then you will be successful.

Who are the people that you really want to work with while you are doing movies?

I would love to work with Jesse Jane.

What is your favorite movie or scene that you have worked on up to this point and why?

Its actually my current project of Gia-Portrait of a Pornstar. I am involved in every aspect of this movie.

What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working? Any hobbies?

I surf, ride horses, paint, read, watch a bunch of reality shows.
