Review of Horizon

Wicked Pictures, along with director/writer Sam Hain, presents their big fall release, Horizon. In the future, the human race has been nearly eradicated by an alien race. So in a last ditch effort, the last of the humans decide to fight back and take back their planet. Can they do survive and destroy the aliens or will the aliens finish the job they came to start? Everything will be answered once reach the Horizon.

The movie starts off with an elite military group, known as Omicron. They are on earth, trying to save as many civilians as possible and get them on the last ship, Horizon, to Mercury Base, where the last of humanity is hidden. They end up leaving more than two billion people behind and head off in order to regroup. What they don’t know though is that they are followed and things go badly very quickly. The last order that is given is to take this special weapon back to Earth and use it to destroy the alien invaders. As the leader of the military, jessica drake, is determined to fulfill that order, even though most of the others are against it. Twists and turns happen along the way and by the end, no one will believe the truth behind the aliens.

As I mentioned above, there are a lot of twists and turns in the story, so I don’t want to divulge too much about the story. The ending does have a nice twist though that I suspect many people will not see coming. Now onto the real reason you are reading this review: the sex scenes.

Scene 1: Misty Stone and Bill Bailey

As Horizon is on its way to Mercury, Misty and bill go to their quarters. Misty is of course a little relieved but worried because she thought she lost him on Earth, before they got to the ship. They give each other a soft kiss and then we see them showering together for a little before the start making out heavily. The shower turns off as the foreplay continues with Bill going down on Misty’s pussy before she sucks him off. Misty bends herself over for some standing doggie, while she spouts off with some good dirty talk. Bill gets to lie back next as Misty climbs on top for reverse cowgirl. Next they get on their sides for spoons before going back to standing doggie. Bill eventually pulls out and sprays his load on Misty’s chest. I’ll be honest, I was quite surprised with this scene. Misty has never been one of my favorite performers but she did a good job with this scene. I do love hearing dirty talk and I think that’s what did it for me in this scene.

Scene 2: Alektra Blue, Danny Mountain and Xander Corvus

Horizon arrives at the base on Mercury and jessica has to go talk to the president. He however is busy. As we join the party we see Alektra being grouped and kissed by Xander and Danny. After some foreplay, Xander starts off by eating Alektra out while she licks Danny’s shaft but soon after she is sucking them both off. Alektra then gets to lie down on the table while one of the guys starts to slide in and out of her in missionary. I can’t say who it is for sure because we never see his face but it is probably Danny because Xander gets the next position. Next Alektra straddles Xander for reverse cowgirl. Danny gets another turn, this time in doggie, while Alektra takes care of Xander’s cock some more. Xander then gets the next position as Alektra climbs up for cowgirl. Danny finished off the positions with missionary before both guys drop their loads on her chest. I don’t normally comment on camera angles but I have to say that the first missionary position was a little sloppy on camera work because we never know who is who, other than Alektra. Sure, most people wouldn’t care about that but I like to be able to keep track of where everyone is. That being said, the action is pretty good. Alektra is her normal high energy self and that makes for a fun scene.

Scene 3: Kimberly Kane and Tony De Sergio

jessica and Kaylani have their meeting and end up briefing everyone on the mission, Kimberly and Tony try to go get some sleep, but they can’t. They chat for a little bit about the mission and then start to kiss. As the make out, Kimberly strips down to just her panties as Tony starts to rub her pussy and this leads to her stroking him off for a bit before they both finish getting undressed. Once they are nice and comfortable, Kimberly leans back on the bed and Tony starts to lap up her clam and this is followed with a nice BJ from Kimberly. They even go into a bit of 69 before Kimberly gets on her knees for doggie. Reverse cowgirl is next as Kimberly slides up and down effortlessly. Next for the two lovers is a jaunt in spoons before Tony gets on his knees to finish off in missionary. Tony then pulls out and pops on Kimberly’s bush. Here we have what I call a “romantic” scene. Yes, it is hot but at the same time the two people on screen are having sex in a way that a real couple might. The earlier scene with Misty could have been too but the dirty talk kind of pulls you out of it.

Scene 4: Kaylani Lei and Bobbi Starr

Something went wrong during the mission and jessica tells everyone that they will fix the ship and proceed with the mission. After Kaylani and Bobbi are left alone they start to talk and Kaylani thinks what they are going to do is crazy and she would prefer just starting a new life with Bobbi and somehow talk jessica out of her plan. They then start to kiss and soon Kaylani is on her back as they both start stripping off clothes, leading to Bobbi fingering Kaylani hard. Not to be out done, Kaylani lies Bobbi back and starts to finger and lick her pussy. Bobbi turns things around on Kaylani as she starts to bury her tongue inside Kaylani. Bobbi also takes some time to slam her fingers inside Kaylani. Some light kissing finishes up the scene. I really liked that this scene didn’t use any toys. I just don’t like when there is a girl/girl scene in a feature and the girls all of a sudden start using toys when they weren’t there from the beginning. I did like this scene overall though. Kaylani and Bobbi have good chemistry and I really liked the playful manner at times in this scene.

Scene 5: jessica drake and Rocco Reed

As could have been expected, going ahead with the plan doesn’t work out that well and we find jessica, along with Rocco, questioning her decision. They end up resigning themselves to death but they both figure they might as well have some joy before the inevitable and they start to make out. jessica starts off the action off quickly with a sensual blowjob. Rocco lies on his back so that jessica can mount and grind him. Missionary is the next position as we see jessica starring at Rocco while he works. Up to this point, jessica has kept her shirt on, as her nipples poke out, but now her shirt is off and they are in doggie. Rocco eventually pulls out and drops his load in jessica’s mouth, a first in this movie. First off, even though I don’t care where the popshot is, I do appreciate that jessica actually took it in her mouth. So that was a nice surprise. Another surprise is that jessica didn’t do anal for this scene. Over the last couple years, she has done multiple anal scenes in big releases.

Scene 6: Kimberly Kane and Aiden Starr

Kimberly was dragged off screen a little earlier in the movie and now finds herself in a white shining room. While in there she is confronted by Aiden, who is the “leader” of the aliens. She communicates with Kimberly telepathically and tells her who they are and why they attacked. There isn’t much time after she stops talking until Aiden grabs Kimberly and starts to kiss her while squeezing her breasts. Once Kimberly and Aiden both strip down a bit, Aiden straddles Kimberly for a little 69 action, with Aiden fingering Kimberley while Kimberly munches her box. After a little variation here and there with that position,, Aiden gets on her back and Kimberly starts to finger and lick her. The tables turn as Aiden takes over and fingers Kimberly hard while she is in doggie. She then puts her on her back as Aiden eats her out as well. The scene ends with them pecking at each other. This is an intense scene as far as most girl/girl scenes go, outside of girl/girl studios. The one big problem though is that the scene is so bright that at times it is hard to see what it going on, especially at the beginning.

Extras:

This movie is part of a 4-disc set. One of those is the Blu-ray version of the film. On the second disc is where most of the extra features are. They include an in depth BTS, a Girls of Horizon video featuring all the girls featured in the movie, a featurette about the crawler which is the name given to the grotesque aliens and a behind the scenes sex reel. There are also photo galleries and trailers. Finally, there are also three bonus sex scenes; the first one features jessica drake and Rocco Reed from The Rocki Whore Picture Show, the second one features Alektra Blue and Bill Bailey from Bring It and the final scene features Kaylani Lei and Rocco Reed from Party Girls. There is also the 2011 Wicked Sampler Disc which features their promo reel, multiple trailers and an additional five sex scenes.

Final Thoughts and Rating:

This is probably one of the most well thought out stories that has been done in the adult industry in the last couple years. Sam Hain did a good job fleshing out the story as a whole and the general feel of the movie is creepy, as a sci-fi thriller should be. All the performers do a good job as well. The sex scenes are all pretty solid but I am surprised that there six scenes. Typically, when it’s a major release like this, they do more and it has been typical that they have an orgy scene, that wouldn’t have really worked to well with this movie though. Now acting isn’t usually a big deal in porn movies but Wicked usually does a good job on that front but in this movie it fell flat in several places. Not sure why that is but I have seen better from the contract stars at least. Overall this is a solid movie though and it is beautiful to watch and with the 4-disc set, a pretty good value. I give this a 4.5 out of 5.
