My name is Amarna Miller and I’m a 24 years old Spanish model and porn actress. I’ve been in the industry since I’m 19, first as a producer with my own company Omnia-X , unfortunately we closed half a year ago, and later only as a performer.
I studied Fine Arts specialized in photography and cinema and I’m a totally workaholic! At the moment I’m also writing for a couple of Spanish magazines and I run my own website and blog, AmarnaMiller.com.
I’m a very active girl and my main goal in life is to learn new things. That’s why I love to travel so much. I’ve been in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, USA and a lot of other places too, always trying to shoot and travel at the same time. I’m addicted to adrenaline and to get out of my comfort zone.
What prompted you to join the adult industry?
I’ve always been interested in the representation of sexuality in all its forms. While I was studying my degree I started taking pornographic pictures behind the cameras, but soon I realized that It would be fun also to pose in front. I was working as an artistic model so the step to start doing explicit jobs was just a small evolution in my work. Then I funded Omnia-X, the company which I’ve been running for almost five years. I was shooting only for my company but as I was still studying and I didn’t have too much free time, it was more a hobby than a full time job.
When I finished my degree I get into porn, also shooting for other production companies and building my career as an actress aand here I am! I’ve shot in almost all Europe and Australia and soon I’ll be going to the US.
Amarna is a unique sounding name. How did you come up with it as your stage name and what does it mean?
That’s a very good question and the answer is at least, interesting. I love history of art and Egyptian history, specially the period of the 18th dynasty, when the Pharaoh Akhenaton created the monotheist religion based in the cult to the god Aton, the Sun. In this period there was a huge revolution inside the artistic field, and the human representations of the pharaoh, his wife and daughters are incredible. The famous bust of Nefertiti was done during his time and he also moved the capital of the empire from Tebas to Amarna! And that’s why I chose my name. I wanted something strange enough to be original but also with an interesting history behind.
And Miller is for Henry Miller, one of my favorite writers.
Seeing that you are from Spain, what would you say the biggest difference is between Europeans and Americans when it comes to sex and sexuality, as far as you know?
It’s complicated to generalize in areas as complicated to measure as sexuality and I haven’t spent enough time in the US to know exactly how things work there! What I can tell you is that in my country and most of Europe there are still too many sexual frustrations. Girls who enjoy their sexuality freely become whores in the eyes of most of the population. That’s one of the conceptions that I’m trying to fight: you can love your body, love your sexuality and love to have sex and that doesn’t mean that you’re less valid than anyone else.
Speaking of the United States, do you have any plans on coming here to shoot for any companies?
Yes! I’ll be there from January 12th to April 8th, living and working in LA and, I hope, travelling to other parts of the US. I specially want to shoot for companies such as Amateur Allure, Zishy, Digital Playground and other big companies and improve my portfolio as an artistic model.
What would be your dream scene to shoot, assuming money isn’t an issue?
I especially like to shoot videos in which the aesthetics and technical quality is important. For me it would be ideal to shoot a real film, as the ones they did before the internet arrived, with history, argument and a real performance.
I love the work with X-Art, WowGirls, SexArt, Harmony Films and Marc Dorcel.
What advice would you give someone who was thinking about getting in the adult industry?
Think about it seriously. Are you sure that you want to be in porn? Then, think again. Unfortunately this job has a huge social pressure linked to it. It’s possible that your parents, your friends or even unknown people judge you in a bad way.
My next tip would be: go slowly. When you’re living from your image it’s really easy to burn out and end up hating the business. It’s better to go step by step, start doing solos, then girl/girl shoots and then boy/girl. That’s what I’ve done and I’m still in love with my job!
Who are the people you would love to work with but haven’t had the chance to yet?
Regarding actors, I’d love to shoot with James Deen, Manuel Ferrara, Toni Ribas and Nacho Vidal. And with girls, I want to shoot with Stoya, Valentina Nappi, Anissa Kate, Misha Cross, Silvia Rubi and I’m sure a lot more than I cannot remember at the moment!
What would you say is your favorite scene you have shot so far?
Probably my favorite scene is “¿Qué es la pasión?” with Juan Lucho for the company SexArt, directed by Alis Locanta. The sex is intense, the connection with Lucho is awesome and I had two great orgasms. I also collaborated with Alis in the screenplay so I can say I’m in love with that video.
Who would you say your idols are, either within the industry or not?
I love the life of the adventurer Richard Francis Burton, who talked 29 languages and found the great lakes of Africa. He was also part of the Royal Geographical Society.
I also admire the Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman for the way he lived his life, and also Christopher McCandless because he fought for his dreams until the very last moment. Lots of people criticized him but I think he was true to himself, and that’s one of the most important things in life. He traveled around a lot of places all by himself and tasted the real liberty.
Other person I ‘m in love with is the writer Ken Kesey. I love his novels, especially “One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” but also how he lived his life, traveling around the US in a school bus full of crazy people.
Inside of the industry, I admire Sasha Grey, because she has managed her career in a great way and she was an awesome performer.
What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working? Any hobbies?
I really love to read, probably is one of my biggest and best hobbies. At the moment I’m reading “The Man in the Castle” by Philip K. Dick, and later I want to start with Thomas de Quincey. I really enjoy science fiction and fantasy books and I’m specially in love with the beat generation, Ginsberg, Kerouac and Burroughs.
I also spend a lot of time traveling. Usually when I shoot in a place I want to see I try to take some days free of work so I can travel around. Last winter I was shooting in Melbourne for two weeks and then I took three months! Free to see the country. I rented a four wheel drive and I was living in a tent. It was fantastic, an authentic adventure.
Are there any projects or special events coming up that you would like to promote, if so please do so?
In fact, my biggest and favorite project is my blog! I write everyday and I spend a lot of time in it so it would be great if your readers can visit it and give me their opinion. It’s also in English so there’s no excuse!
