Hello Jeanie, for those who might not know you please let us know you are and please describe yourself?

I am Jeanie Marie Sullivan. I started in the biz the day I turned 18 I had always aspired to be in pornography since I was young. I was born in Las Vegas and was socialized a little differently. I grew up looking at larger than life posters of scantily clad women who bore an air of confidence. I always admired that courage and thought I would like to claim it for myself one day

What prompted you to join the adult industry?

I thought it to be empowering

Seeing that you have been in the industry for a while now, what would you say is the biggest difference between what it’s really like and what you thought it would be like? What would you say has changed the most as well?

I’ve been in for seven years now going on eight. The biggest misconception about the biz is the glamour of it all. I thought coming into this biz that I would have a specialized team of stylist and coaches etc. That’s what I really have come to admire about some of the women in the biz. You really have to take your brand into your own hands and develop its character success is up to you.

What I would say has changed the most is the lack of big budget features coming out that rival mainstream, keeping us edgy and a sexy alternative to mainstream. I would like to see more actual actresses that just so happen to be easy on the eyes and talented.

Any thoughts of creating a members site and if so, what can your fans expect to find on that site?

Yes, I would love to create a members site but I need the right person to carry out my vision, any suggestions? As far as what I would offer on my member’s site, I would hope to offer an intimate one on one approach that includes my true personality, like exclusive content, maybe a clothing line and merchandise, live chat, interactive journal updated weekly, scenes memorabilia and perhaps taking some of the proceeds to charity, like a foundation to reintegrate girls who have decided to stop performing.

Is there anything sexual that you haven’t done on film yet that you are planning on doing in the future?

Yes, I would love to do an all anal series

What are your thoughts on the recently passed Prop B, the law mandating condom use, among other things, in porn?

Well people aren’t going to like this but I’m for condoms. Anything that makes us lower the odds of spreading life threatening disease is sexy.

What would you say is the biggest misconception people have of people who work in the adult industry?

That we are damaged goods, I believe there was an article on this recently debunking this stereotype. That what we do is easy. I would like people to know that what we do is both mentally and physically challenging. It’s hard work that requires a lot of personal discipline and self-awareness.

What advice would you give someone that is thinking about joining the adult industry?

I would suggest they come in expecting to fail and have a plan B like college or job skills, so they don’t feel pressured to make decisions based on necessity and more genuine interest. Trust me, from personal experience, regret and self-doubt are horrible things to deal with in the mirror when the cameras off and you are alone with yourself. This is how a lot of self-destructive behaviors start. Having a good agent help and the best in the biz are Derek Hay of LA Direct Models and Mark Spiegler of Spiegler Girls.

What would you say is your favorite movie or scene that you have ever done and why?

Well I’d say I really enjoyed working for Vivid. I always dreamed of being opulent and larger than life and that’s the atmosphere at that company. Everyone is truly at the top of their class.

Who are some of the people you want to work with as a performer but haven’t had the opportunity as of yet?

Yes, Andrew Blake, I’m enamored with his works. He’s a true master.

What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working? Any hobbies?

I’m a fine art buff. I enjoy analyzing the past for current solutions or simply absorbing someone’s message allowing there imagery to speak to me and tell its story. Embarrassed to say it’s a little magical for me. I’d liken it to childhood wonderment.

Are there any projects or special events coming up that you would like to promote, if so please do so?

Yes, I recently broke through the performing rope and directed a movie for Adam and Eve called Intimate Encounters 3: Naked & Beautiful. Last but not least my goal is to fuse fine art and erotica, it’s why I dream.
