Shari Beaumont, Wayne Hentai Form Publicity Agency, Plan 9 Media Group

Two of the industry’s foremost names in promotions and public relations pooled their experience to launch a robust publicity agency for the needs of the adult entertainment industry.

Shari Beaumont, former All Media Play director of operations and head
of SugarDVD’s affiliate relations, joined with Wayne Hentai,
proprietor of Hentai Public Relations, to form Plan 9 Media Group.
Beaumont will head the organization’s promotions and media sponsorship
efforts. Hentai will take charge of the public relations needs of the
company’s clients.

“Wayne and I have worked together on projects in the past,” Beaumont,
who worked in music industry publicity before entering the adult
industry, said. “It just made sense to combine our knowledge of the
industry to create a company that offers the best in media relations
solutions.”

Beaumont’s reputation in publicizing her past clients, knowledge of
product sponsorships and her role in organizing the media on the red
carpets of the largest and most memorable adult parties dovetailed
with Hentai’s public relations business.

“While I’ve built the names of my clients through my solid
relationship with the media, working together with Shari means we can
offer our clients more than just public relations,” Hentai, a graduate
of the Defense Information School and a freelance business writer
before his stint as an editor at AVN, said. “With our combined
efforts, Plan 9 Media Group offers promotional campaigns as well as
media coordination during events to complement our publicity efforts.”

Hentai said the adult industry is evolving. Successful companies, like
