Jay Lincal’s short films include Le rituel, The Wrong Airbnb, Taste Like Chicken, The House, each touching stories that resonate around the world, and have garnered the filmmaker praise at 30 prestigious international festivals. His journey has now culminated in his first
documentary, Heart of a Dominatrix, to be released with a February 4th screening in Paris.
Setting up his camera for a year, Lincal kept on the clicking heels of Paris-based Dominatrix, educator, and emerging filmmaker whose work bridges intimacy, power, and human psychology with clarity and nuance, Inanna Justice. From Paris (where she is based) to Berlin via Amsterdam, Heart of a Dominatrix is a feature-length documentary about the oh-so-positive side of the kinkdom, something the layman hardly ever sees, and so many prejudices have been leveled at.
I have interviewed the lovely Inanna for many websites, blogs and publications. We also send emails back and forth when she has news like this to impart and just to generally to catch-up. We go back a ways and I am always thrilled to hear about what she is up to and maybe sneak a peak at a new picture or video she has posted. I’m not surprised Jay Lincal found Inanna’s life full of light, laughter, fun and all-so-empowering to the people she meets, be they fellow Dommes, the many slaves that serve her or just the community in general or when she gathers and teaches at her seminal and very popular French FemDom Event. This pretty lady exudes a warm enveloping light, though surely she can be firm, arousing and even dangerous (to a slave’s limits of course. But mainly, Inanna Justice is so caring and wants us all to live our lives, sexual and otherwise, to their fullest.
