In the interview, Voss recalls the moment she decided to take a real chance on modeling after years in a traditional career. “So I made a deal with myself,” she explains. “I gave myself six months to pursue independent modeling seriously and see if I could come close to the income I had before.” Six months later, that leap of faith had turned into a sustainable career.
Looking back on that turning point, Voss says the shift came when she realized creativity mattered more to her than security. “When the pandemic hit and I got laid off from my salaried position, it forced me to stop and really think. I realized I didn’t actually enjoy sales or finance. I enjoyed creating.”
