The Erotic Heritage Museum Adds ED Archive Exhibition

The Erotic Heritage Museum’s new ED Archive Exhibit will feature publisher Don Waitt’s extensive memorabilia. Waitt was the publisher of Erotic Dancer Magazine and the head of the company that champions the erotic dance business. In the museum’s new exhibit, Devyn Waitt, Don’s daughter, has produced a digital display of Erotic Dancer magazines and personal artifacts representing three decades of ED publishing celebrating the gentleman club industry as well as her father’s life.

The exhibit debuts with a reception at the EHM on Aug. 23, from 6:30-8:30 pm.

“I think what’s cool about the exhibit is you can carve your own path through it. The draw is being able to explore and see the entirety of the archive in one place,” Devyn says.

The Erotic Heritage Museum’s director, Doctor Victoria Hartmann, adds:

“Don Waitt's work chronicled an industry that influenced culture, challenged convention, and became part of the fabric of Las Vegas. We are also grateful to our Grand Patron, Harry Mohney, whose enduring commitment to preserving the history of human sexuality established a home where stories like Don's can be shared with future generations. Preserving that legacy is not about endorsement—it is about ensuring that the people, industries, and ideas that shaped our culture are documented, studied, and never erased.”

“Museums are often expected to preserve the history people approve of; we believe they should preserve the history that shaped us,” Dr. V says.

The EHM’s ED Archive Exhibit debut reception coincides with the first day of the annual 2026 ED EXPO. Attendees from the EXPO are allowed free entrance to the reception by showing their expo badge; the general public can purchase a regular museum admission to attend. Additionally, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) will host an almost complete print run of ED magazines up through its 2024 publication run.

ABOUT THE EROTIC HERITAGE MUSEUM

Existing to preserve, study, and present human sexuality through the lenses of history and art, Harry Money’s Erotic Heritage Museum is a one-of-a-kind institution housing more than 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits. Over the past decade, the Museum has dramatically increased its gallery space, developed original exhibitions, partnered with artists and researchers, and embraced a more academically engaged approach to presenting sexuality.
