DD White is adding a little science fiction to her repertoire with The Droid Chronicles, a new ongoing series exclusively at DDWhitexx.com that begins with its first installment, “Measuring the Droid.”
The premise starts close to home: White’s husband owns a manufacturing business and decides his next project should be droids. There is just one small detail he neglects to mention – he has chosen his wife as the model. Unaware that a mechanical version of herself is taking shape, White becomes the unwitting inspiration for a story designed to unfold across multiple releases.
“Apparently, being married to a manufacturer comes with a few occupational hazards,” said White. “I love that The Droid Chronicles gives us a story we can keep developing instead of trying to fit everything into one video. He decides to start making droids, secretly chooses me as the prototype and suddenly there are all kinds of directions we can take it. ‘Measuring the Droid’ is only the beginning.”
