Chatsworth, Calif. — Girlfriends Films is donating $1000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on behalf of popular adult performer Samantha Ryan. Samantha is also the co-host of the lesbian studio’s acclaimed talk show, “The Kinky & Creepy Show.” The December charity selection goes to honor Samantha’s father, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.

“I would love to give to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in light of my father being diagnosed with the disease,” states Samantha Ryan. “It has given me so much more insight into a disease so widely varied, yet with no end in sight. To see so many young children disabled with this disease is heart breaking. I am so blessed my father has been able to live such a full life with the disease, yet I know so many are not as fortunate and die way too young. I hope this money will play a small part in the bigger picture of finding cures or better ways for the afflicted to deal with muscular dystrophy.”

MDA is a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases by funding worldwide research. It also provides those affected by muscular dystrophy with comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
