(Los Angeles, CA) — GoAskAlex is pleased to announce that her short film,
The Confession, has been selected for consideration at the Red Dawns International Feminist and Queer Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia, kicking off on Wednesday, March 8 to coincide with International Women’s Day.
This is the first film festival submission and screening for the flame-haired veteran adult model, performer and content creator, who wrote and produced the provocative drama, directed by Ursinae Vesperal and starring Alex, ElizabxthFields, Ondreeah, Fennel, PrinceMargo, NatieDel and FionaMae.
The Confession is notable in that it was written, directed, filmed, edited and cast entirely by sex workers in British Columbia, Canada, with the film centering on a woman who has strayed from her righteous path and asks forgiveness from the inside of a dimly lit confessional booth. As she describes her sins, the viewer is transported into her Sapphic fantasies before climaxing in a surprise twist ending.
“It is a great honour to partake in my first film festival. My only regret is not being able to make the journey for the opening show – a great reminder to renew my passport!” said Alex of the film’s recognition, which was inspired by the writer’s own lived experiences facing homophobia – both internalized and externalized – and realizing her queer identity.
“Creating artistic video content has been a passion of mine for many years. My writing and editing skills have reached a point where I am ready to take my work to the next level. My fans and followers can expect to see a lot more work in this style in the coming months and years!”
