Hello Cara for those who might not know you please let us know you are and please describe yourself?

My name is Cara Vega and I’m 19 years old, boring introduction I know haha. Professionally I’m a cam-model, porn actress or just generally an adult entertainer, in my private life I’m a feminist, vegan and ambidextrous lefty as someone so humorously said on Twitter, itwas me, I said it about myself.

What prompted you to join the adult industry?

For as long as I can remember I’ve been interested in generally everything sex related and from the moment I saw my first porno I had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to pursue a career in porn. About a month after I’d turned 18 I made my first account on a cam-site using a pseudonym I came up with when I was 15 regretting that now

Seeing that you are European, how would you describe how Europeans view sex and sexuality especially as it concerns porn and other kinds of sex work?

Since there are 50 sovereign states in Europe, all with different legislation it would be hard for me to speak for and/or summarize their views on sex. In Great Britain for example prostitution is legal but pornography is heavily regulated. In Sweden porn, even involving animals in some form, is legal and selling sex is legal as well but buying sex will sometimes land you in jail for up to six months.

What I have noticed in Sweden is that since we’re pretty open regarding sex a lot of people are interested in sex-work but since we don’t have any production companies left who shoot porn no one knows anyone who works in the adult industry. This becomes a problem because people can’t relate to people who choose to do sex-work since its basically unheard of. Our laws around prostitution don’t help either since they are made to portray the sex-worker as a victim. The few swedes who choose to do any form of sex-work are constantly subjects of harassment since pretty much all information; name, address, phone number, criminal records etc, are public here. Within a few months of doing porn you are guaranteed to have your name and address on pages like Flashback where the forum’s members make lists of sex-workers that are dead or they wish to be murdered. Sex-work in Sweden is extremely stigmatized and more has to be done to keep sex-workers safe. The fact that the police gave up on shutting Flashback down after they found out Flashback is hosted and owned by a company in the US is ridiculous.

So far you have shot with esteemed director Erika Lust but her style is different than other European and especially American directors. Are you looking to shoot for some of these other directors and if so who would you love to work with?

I love Erika’s style and Erika herself but in the end she makes aesthetically pleasing, ethical porn and despite contrary belief she’s not alone in that. There are many great directors and especially performers turned directors who produce ethical porn however for me aesthetic is also very important in the porn I watch and also shoot and Erika’s films are among the best in that regard. In Europe I would love to shoot more for Erika and with Liselle Bailey, in the US Bree Mills, Holly Randall and Jacky St. James.

You are also a cam performer. Besides the obvious, how is camming different than performing for a scene and what do you consider the pros and cons of both?

When camming you have a direct line to talk to your ”fans” and that way you can figure out what they like seeing, when you’re performing for a scene you have very little control of the quality of the product except for how you perform. For me that’s both the pros and cons since I’m a perfectionist and who hates responsibility. When camming it’s up to me to make everything perfect and if there’s a problem I have to be the one to fix it but when I’m performing I get to only focus on my acting and how I perform and make THAT perfect and if something goes wrong I can always blame somebody else haha!

What would be your advice be for someone who is thinking about getting into the adult industry?

Save your money and invest in your brand. Weather it be a better webcam, microphone or camera or investing in better skincare, clothes or toys.

If money wasn’t an issue, what would be your dream scene or movie to make?

I have a plan for this (you know in a few years when I’m filthy rich but I’m not quite ready to reveal it yet.

I asked about directors and companies you would like to work with, who would be the performers you would like to work with in the future?

I have the hugest crush on Nicole Aniston so she’s a given. Other performers I would love working with are Small Hands, Xander Corvus and Asa Akira. Mainly because I have crushes on all of them.

Who would you say your idols are, either within the industry or not?

I don’t like the word idol because I think everyone is human and therefore makes mistakes. I do however look up to certain qualities in different people, Dani Daniels business sense, Nicole Aniston’s humble attitude, Asa Akria’s openness to people and Stormy Daniels IDGAF attitude.

If you could have a conversation with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?

Puma Swede to ask her how she’s so cool with having done porn and living in Sweden. She also just started a burger restaurant and I’d like to ask why?

What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working? Any hobbies?

I’ve danced pretty much all my life so even though I don’t compete anymore I still dance a few hours every day. Other than dancing I hang out with my cat, I’m a crazy cat lady, and sometimes try to take him on walks but it mostly ends up being me carrying him around.

Are there any projects or special events coming up that you would like to promote, if so please do so?

A few weeks ago I started shooting vlogs for my pornhub which I will start releasing in a few day!
