Marica Hase is celebrating a major international career honor after receiving the Legend Award earlier this year at the European Adult Awards in Brussels, Belgium.
The recognition adds another global milestone to Hase’s long-running career, which has taken her from Japan to the United States, Europe and beyond. As a Japanese-born performer, model and media personality, Hase has built a rare cross-market career while continuing to connect with fans, creators and industry professionals around the world.
Hase’s Legend Award honor follows years of international work across adult entertainment, modeling, media appearances, live events and fan-driven projects. She previously made history as the only Japanese performer to be named a Penthouse Pet in the United States, and her continued recognition abroad reflects her lasting impact across multiple markets.

Marica Hase is a Japanese-born international performer, model and media personality whose career spans Japan, the United States, Europe and Asia. After beginning in Japanese television, film and magazine modeling, Hase transitioned into adult entertainment and built a rare cross-market career, later becoming the only Japanese performer to be named a Penthouse Pet in the United States.
Hase first gained major attention after winning the SOD Create Cinderella Audition, a high-profile talent search from one of Japan’s leading production companies, which led to her debut as an exclusive performer while she continued working in mainstream media. She later became an exclusive performer for EROTICA before expanding her career internationally, earning industry awards, live event appearances, voice work and Hall of Fame recognition along the way.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, Hase took an extended hiatus to focus on treatment, including a double mastectomy and lymph node removal in 2022, before returning to adult entertainment and Japanese television. In early 2025, she faced a second cancer diagnosis with cervical cancer, later overcoming it and returning to filming.
Outside of her professional work, Hase is active in cancer awareness and animal rescue advocacy, while also sharing her off-camera personality through daily social media vlogs featuring Buusan, her beloved pig plush character who has become a fan favorite in his own right.
