Some of you may remember that I used to do a review every month of an older movie, one that was at least 10 years old, and when possible the movie in question would have some connection to the month was posting it in. For October the obvious choice is a horror movie and that is what I have done here. Dark Angels is the story of a young woman, played by Jewel De-Nyle, and her accidental witnessing of a vampire queen (Sydnee Steele) taking a victim. She desperately seeks help from the police, but it is no use. She is the next target. Can she escape or fate or will she accept the inevitable?
Scene 1: Ginger Paige and Voodoo
Inside a dance club we see Ginger as she spots Voodoo and they walk away together. They head to the bathroom where she starts kissing him after pushing him back onto the toilet. It doesn’t take long and she starts sucking him off. Ginger then bends over the toilet as Voodoo fingers and licks her before standing back up for doggie. Reverse cowgirl is up next as Ginger hops up and down while bracing against the stall walls. Voodoo then pulls out and sprays his load on Ginger’s back and ass, Unfortunately for Voodoo, Ginger then bites him as she is a vampire. We have a nice start here. The action is quick and intense but limited because of the location.
Scene 2: Sydnee Steele and Mike Horner
We then see Sydnee walking down a dark alley before Ginger is seen leaving the club and her victim’s body is found. She gets a tongue lashing from Sydnee, who is the head vampire. Sydnee lets her go on with her night and decides she needs to feed as well and is soon after rolled up on by Mike. He picks her up, thinking she’s a prostitute, as he drives them to an empty lot. Sydnee wastes no time and starts sucking him off from the passenger seat. They then move to the back where Mike eats her out before going into missionary. From there they go into an energetic go in doggie before Mike pulls out and cums on her back. Like the last the scene, what Sydnee and Mike can do are limited due to the location of the scene, but they make it work. Sydnee does an excellent job of bringing out her animalistic side.
Scene 3: Jewel De’Nyle and Sydnee Steele
Next, we meet Jewel as she is driving around the city. She is listening to the radio (side note, and this is something I remember from the BTS on the original DVD is that this audio of director Nic Andrews, as Brad Raven, talking shit about an actress who quit with two days left to shoot on his last film is a jab at this film’s main actress Jewel De’Nyle who had a huge falling out with Nic while filming. Kind of a sleazy move to add this bit of audio after the fact in my opinion) and eventually ends up in the same parking lot that Mike pulled into. She tries to call someone on her cell phone but gets no answer. While she is walking around, she catches Sydnee as she finishes killing Mike and runs away in horror.
Later we meet a police detective Jack (Dillon Day) as he is saddled with solving the murder we just witnessed. Jewel came in to report what happened and she tells him what happened. He later drops her off at home where she goes in and gets into a bubble bath and then to bed. She tosses and turns in bed as she has a nightmare about what she saw and then snaps awake, sits up and sees Sydnee sitting on her bed (One of the hottest moments I’ve ever seen by the way). Sydnee takes complete control as they engage in some foreplay before Sydnee starts to go down on her while fingering her pussy. Sydnee then climbs on top of her and rides her face while reaching back as she continues to finger her as well. Sydnee then lays back on the bed as Jewel starts to lick and finger her. Sydnee takes over again as she gets Jewel on her knees as she fingers her pussy and ass. The scene ends with Sydnee going down on her again but this time she bites her, her face covered in blood, as Jewel wakes up and then passes out as she tries to call 911, The actual sex scene is quite hot to watch but at the same time a bit uncomfortable due to the ending and the idea of being sexually molested in your dreams, Jewel plays off the scared and turned on submissive very well though.
Scene 4: Jewel De’Nyle and Mickey G.
Dillon races in and finds her unconscious and calls an ambulance. They try and save her, but she dies on the way to the hospital. While the coroner (Mickey G.) performs an autopsy, he hears some strange sounds. We also see Sydnee walking through the halls in the hospital and eventually Mickey makes his way back to Jewel who is now awake on the table. They start to kiss and before long he is eating her out. Jewel then gives him a nice BJ before bending over for doggie. She is a lot more aggressive now as she dirty talks and pushes back on him. She then climbs on top for cowgirl before getting on her back again for missionary. Where the scene finishes with a popshot on her belly. She then ends up biting his neck after he collapses on her and after she runs away. Jewel does an excellent job here showing the change from her innocent self to the now lust driven vampire that she has become. As I said, she is more assertive during this scene and uses plenty of dirty talk.
Scene 5: April Flowers, Ginger Paige, McKayla and Erik Everhard
Jewel is able to sneak out of the hospital and after Dillon finds out she is alive he rushes out to try and find her. We next see her curled up in a bed as she erratically masturbates for a bit before she snaps out of it and gets into a cab. She freaks out while riding in the back and scares the driver and hops in the front seat and drives away after finding his gun. After driving around for a while, she makes it to Sydnee’s hideout and confronts her. Sydnee tells her she can speed up her transformation if she joins them in this ritual involving drinking virgin blood, but she is hesitant, so they start anyway. The virgins in question are played by April and McKayla and they are paired with Erik and Ginger respectively. The action cuts between the two pairs as each indulge in multiple forms of sexual delights and pleasures. It’s a little too much to keep up with though so I won’t break it down further, but it does end with a facial on April.
Scene 6: Felecia Day and Dillion Day
I don’t want to spoil the ending so I won’t reveal more plot so we will go onto the final sex scenes which involves Dillion and Felecia, who plays another vampire. She is quite aggressive as she pushes him against a wall, and they kiss for a quick bit before she drops down to suck him off. Things heat up quickly as she bends over for standing doggie. From there they go into missionary, leading to Dillion pulling out and cumming on her face and tongue. This is an intense and high energy scene. A bit disappointing that they did doggie and missionary though, I would have loved to have seen something a bit more adventurous but seeing that the setting is in a grungy alley I can see why they did that.
As I said, I’m not going to spoil the ending here, but it pretty much goes how you would expect given all the buildup, plus there is a bit of a twist as well.
Special Features:
If you can find a physical copy of this, I would recommend picking it up because the special features are very cool and unique. You get your typical BTS, trailers, photos and other things that were typical fare for the time. The special feature that I particularly love though is the commentary track. They don’t do those anymore as is, but they went one step further and videoed it and you can watch it with picture in picture.
Final Thoughts and Rating:
I don’t know what it is about vampires and porn, but they seem to be the perfect pairing. I guess it has something to do with inherent eroticism of vampires. Anyhow, this is one of the first porn movies I watched so it holds a special place in my heart. Sydnee and Jewel play their parts to perfection and the same can be said for Dillon. Unfortunately this movie is out of print so if you want to own the DVD and see the special features above it will probably cost you more than you’d like but I promise you it is well worth it but it is available for download or streaming so seek it out if you like how this movie sounds. I give Dark Angels a 5 out of 5.
