For this month’s Retro Review, I will take a look at the 2000 Vivid release Eve’s Gift. It’s Christmas time and Chris (Eric Price) is trying to drown his worries in alcohol. He has been in a stupor since his wife Cecily (Devon) died and then he meets Eve (Sydnee Steele), a hooker with a heart of gold who initially tries to rip him off but then turns around and tries to help. In the end the open up about their pasts and their troubles but will Eve’s Gift be enough to save him?
Scene 1: Sydnee Steele and Mark Davis
We start off with an upset man, played by David Stanley, telling his wife that he won’t make it home for Christmas dinner. He is in a bar with Eric, who is in a Santa outfit, as he tells that he wants a lover that he would do anything for. David leaves and we switch to the alley where we see Sydnee blowing Mark against a wall. Mark returns the favor as he fingers and licks her pussy while on a dirty mattress. From there Sydnee climbs on top for cowgirl They switch to doggie next as Sydnee continues to coo and moan while rubbing herself before they finish up in missionary. The scene then wraps up with a nice pop on Sudnee’s face and tongue. Two legends doing their thing, what else could you ask for.
Scene 2: Devon and Eric Price
Sydnee is seen checking to make sure she looks good as she heads into the bar and tries to pick up Eric. As she tries to pick him up, we find out that his wife, Eve, is dead and that’s why he is so depressed. She eventually leaves and so does he a little while longer. He goes into the alley, drunk, and he sees a vision of Devon lying on the mattress and he lies next to it. We then see a flashback to a past Christmas where she had been wrapped up as a present and he opens her up. Things heat up quickly as they kiss quickly before he starts to go down on her. Devon then gives him a nice BJ before falling onto her back in missionary. After spending a few minutes in missionary, they switch to spoons. Cowgirl is the final position as Devon rides Eric as she grips the headboard on the bed before taking his load on her chest. A sweet if not slightly sad scene here given the context but well done none the less. I would have liked to have seen a bit more balance for the different positions as far as length of time but what was shown still worked.
Scene 3: Devon and Vince Vouyer
Sydnee comes by and finds Eric asleep on the abandoned mattress and tries to wake him up but when she fails to do so she takes his wallet and keys before coming back to help him. We them see them asleep in his home. They wakeup and have a short discussion and she tries to leave. He convinces her to stay by offering to pay for her time. He has an unopened present under the tree that she mentions that he should open during the conversation before she decides to stay. They then have breakfast where he tells her he is unemployed and is planning on killing himself. He tells her that it would be a present to his dead wife because he was the one who killed her. He then proceeds to tell her about his worst Christmas as we see another flashback. It starts and we see Vince eating out Devon. She then returns the favor was a BJ while he sits on the toilet. Devon then climbs on top of him for cowgirl before they move over to the edge of the tub for missionary. From there Devon bends over for standing doggie and then Vince pulls out and cums on her chest as Eric listens outside the door. This scene is quite different from the last scene. Devon is more animalistic here but that makes sense since she is cheating on her husband so the sex should be more lustful instead of romantic.
Scene 4: Renee LaRue, Sydnee Steele and Ian Daniels
After the pop we see Eric and Devon, who is sleeping in the passenger seat, driving and they get into an accident while he is staring at her. Sydnee tells him that it was an accident and shouldn’t blame himself, but he still does. Eric then asks to hear her worst Christmas story. She starts to talk, and we are treated to another flashback. We see Sydnee and her boyfriend sitting in front of a tree and exchanging presents. Turns out that he is a heavy drug user and while they have a good time together, she has to hook in order to pay for his habit. She leaves and then we see her in a room with Renee and Ian. They quickly get undressed and start to make out. Sydnee starts things off but sucking Ian off and is soon joined by Renee as they share. Renee and Ian go into doggie next as she and Sydnee engage in a 69. Sydnee gets her turn in missionary as she fingers Renee as she watches. Eventually Renee starts to rub on Sydnee’s body too before they switch places. Next thing we know Ian is munching on Sydnee’s box for a little bit before he cums on their faces after sliding his cock between Renee’s breasts. Afterward the guy beats the crap out of the two ladies, or at least Sydnee. We don’t see it happen, but her voiceover indicates she ended up with multiple broken bones. Like the last scene, I would describe this as lustful. Renee and Sydnee have great chemistry as well.
Scene 5: Adajia and Eric Prince
Sydnee gets angry as Eric appears to be smiling at her story. He says he wasn’t because he was just happy because he wasn’t alone. We then have another flashback scene after Eric says that he killed his wife. We see him in bed as Adajia is giving up an energetic blowjob. From there they go into a 69 though the focus mostly stays on her. Adajia then pops up onto her knees for doggie. Reverse cowgirl is up next before going back to doggie except anal this time. The scene then wraps up with more oral from Adajia before Eric pops on her face. It is then revealed that Devon had been watching him for some time, holding the unopened gift, this is why she would later cheat on him. So, we have yet another lustful scene here. I will have to try and find other scenes with Adajia. Though I am not a big fan on anal, not that I hate it, I’m just not a big fan, the anal here was a nice surprise, it broke up the nonentity.
Sydnee convinces him to finally open the present and while we don’t see what it is, we do know it is battery powered and Sydnee takes the batteries out of her vibrator and gives them to him as the credits roll.
Final Thoughts and Rating:
It took me a while to find a Christmas themed movie that I could find watch and thankfully Adult Time had it available on their service. The story is quite reminiscent of Leaving Las Vegas but not nearly as depressing. The sex scenes are done well except for the music which I found to be overly loud and quite frankly the use of mostly classical music felt off. Looking back, you would expect the Sydnee and Eric would have had a scene together, but I like the fact that David Stanley, as both writer and director, decided to not go with the obvious. Overall this is a decent romp and I give Eve’s Gift a 4 out of 5.
