The feature, photographed by Katy Grannan with text by Jennifer Wilson, opens with Vanniall in a powerful topless portrait while the interviewer traces her path from her teenage years in South Carolina, discovering the word “trans” on Tumblr to becoming a Massachusetts-based creator whose camera work helped transform how she saw herself in her trans identity.
