In the U.S. there exists quite a few porn conventions, one of the granddaddy ones, for the fans of adult content especially, is called EXXXOTICA. As the New Jersey version of the con (it lands across a few other cities and states during the year) happens not mere minutes from my home, I attended this year’s EXXXOTICA, as I have for about the past decade, to indulge my senses.
This three-day convention, occupying the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center, has surely rolled with the times, in that EXXXOTICA has followed the ‘adopt or die’ paradigm of most adult business who have weathered digital dissemination and a certain DIY paradigm. The adult content creator has more or less jumped feet first into doing for themselves in many regards, where huge movie sites like Vivid and Wicked, once truly owning most of the pink-carpeted convention space, replaced by like likes of Chaturbate and LoyalFans.
But be it a MILF porn star who has been in the game for a bit or a newbie cam girl, there was room for everybody and the fans flocked.
From ‘The EXXXOTICA Dungeon Experience,” a big delineated space of the Expo Center where one could enjoy all kinds of kinks—live demonstrations, educational programming, and a “consent-forward” happenings—(I saw one lady spilling hot wax on another), to ‘monster’ dildo toy makers, to strippers shipped in from local clubs, to DJ’s spinning on a makeshift stage that also hosted other shows, the late Saturday afternoon my photographer and I showed up for was jam packed with fun of the good old fashioned naughty kind.
I was happy to spend a few minutes with the always lovely and welcoming, ‘dommy-mummy,’ all-around wonderful Tanya Tate. I have interviewed and featured this English babe, plenty, as you can read here, and she is always such a treat. Tanya always has a long line of fans seeking her time, a selfie and autographs and although I was sure not to overstay my welcome, welcomed by the lady I surely was.
I stopped over to see Tadpole and his big booth. Circling some of his talented girls, as always Tadpole was great to jaw with. He told me he had already shot a ton of content at EXXXOTICA and as always, was planning to shoot more. I have often explored for us, his white-hot content. Like Tanya, Tad is surely always so very welcoming, and just a nice as can be. Goddess Lilith, someone we have featured at AIP lots, was a lady I was really hoping to meet for the first time this day. The head of Kink Queens magazine, and a food friend was on hand, as he always is. It’s funny, I work for this guy, we email all the time, we certainly share a certain ‘interest,’ but I only ever see him once a year, at EXXXOTICA. But I have such affection for the guy, and as I told you a few blogs back, has launched a new version of the KK website, and their issue #74 just dropped.
Yes, fan porn conventions still exist. And although lots of fans are locked deep into a computer portal or phone having at that which excites them while they have at themselves, they did come out to EXXXOTICA NJ, making this particular get together popping with folks happy to be celebrating our sex lives.
